Volunteer Screening Form
Volunteers are integral to the success of the Tuscaloosa County School System!
The first step to becoming a volunteer for TCSS is to successfully complete a background screen.
This background screen is for volunteers, not for employment purposes.
Important Notes:
- To submit your background screen information, you must have access to a smart phone. You will use your smart phone camera to access a QR code to capture your driver license information.
- The cost for the background screen is $19.
- You will be able to indicate the school where you plan to volunteer, but you do not have to complete another background screen to volunteer at multiple schools. Choose one location when you submit your information, but one background screen will be valid for multiple schools. TCSS Human Resources Department will send the approval to the appropriate school, as needed.
- Volunteer screens are good for one year. After one year, you must complete the background screen again.
